5. Skype (Free)
What is it? Common I don’t have to explain you what skype is. Anyways, there are mixed reactions from the skype user community on its iPhone App. Few love it, few hate and few just dont care. I love and I use it while freelancing. So here it is on no.5

4. BeejiveIM $15.99
What is it? Staying connected is important for any freelancer and most internet freelancers communicate with peers and clients via IM. There are a lot of IM services out there that are good but Beejive is beyond good. It comes very close to keeping you connected even if you exit the application (requires Exchange or MobileMe Push service on phone). Common I don’t have to explain you what skype is. Anyways, there are mixed reactions from the skype user community on its iPhone App. Few love it, few hate and few just dont care. I love and I use it while freelancing. So here it is on no.5

3. WordPress, Evernote, gNotes (Free)
What is it? Well basically it depends on what you do normally. If you are a vivid blogger, then its WordPress for you on no.3 spot, if you take notes more than blogging then its Evernote or gNotes (if you prefer syncing with Google Notebook) for you on no.3.
Wordpress iPhone App is a pretty slim down version of its web portal /wp-admin. It lets you quickly blog from your iPhone. I find it quite useful but not many do on iPhone App reviews. Evernote and gNotes on the other hand are quite good “note taking” apps.  gNotes basically syncs your notes with Google Notebook. So thats good. Evernote is quite good in it self if you want to forget about syncing with Google.
Wordpress App store rating: 3/5
Wordpress Vaked.com rating: 3.5/5
Evernote App store rating: 3/5
Evernote Vaked.com rating 3.5/5
gNotes App Store rating: 3/5
gNotes Vaked.com rating: 4/5

2. FTP On The Go $6.99
What is it? The name says it all. It lets you connect to an ftp server, view, download, edit and upload the files back to where it belongs. This little app has saved me from countless hours of wait for me. Other than waiting to be home in order to fix some minor issues on my client site, I simple connect with FTP On The Go, edit the file and upload it back. It will definitely increase the productivity of any designer or programmer. I cant find any reason why a freelance write would use this but its still on no. 2!

What is it? Oh yeah its pretty expensive. But you know what? Its totally worth it. It remotely connects you to your PC or MAC (desktop or notebook) without any problem be it E, 3G or WiFi.  I’ve been using it since last 3 months and I have no problems at all.
